How long have you been vegan?
2 1/2 years
What made you want to share it with the world ?
About a year after becoming vegan, I started trying new foods and learning to cook them that I wanted to share my recipes with others. I enjoy writing so I started a blog then started my own website and began using social media to reach people. I enjoy exchanging recipes and healthy living tips with Instagram users and my facebook page fans. It's always fun and inspiring to share with others what you love to do and I love vegan cooking!
How has your life changed since becoming a vegan?
I started feeling healthier, I started running and recently completed a half marathon-the longest run of my life! I started cooking alot more and became interested in trying new foods that I never would have tried had I not become vegan. I also connected with a positive community of IGers who love to be vegan as much as I do. Lastly, becoming vegan has opened my eyes to how much animals suffer and how much damage we are doing to the planet so I'm inspired to promote the vegan lifestyle.
What are some of your favorite things to make and eat ?
name just a few. Grilled tofu, overnight oats with dates, bananas and peanut butter, vegan pizza, kale smoothies
What's one of your must try recipes?
Maple Cinnamon Date Sugar Cookies!
Is there any information or advise you would like to give a vegan beginner or someone considering going vegan?
Be patient with yourself, take small steps. Start out by giving up red meat then move to all meat then cut out dairy and eggs. Read up on the benefits of the vegan diet and teach yourself how to cook. Try one new veggie every week. You will start to feel better!
